As I Am Product Review + Giveaway

As I Am Product Review + Giveaway

Ever since I tried the AS I AM Coconut Cowash a few years ago, I've been dying to try out the entire line. Luckily for me, I found all the items at my local Sally's Beauty Supply Store near my base. The entire line together is absolutely amazing! It left my TWA so soft, super moisturized, and smelling divine! Just as a disclaimer: this product review is my own personal opinion. Your end results from using these products may not be the same as mine. Now that that's out of the way, let's dig into this line.

First up is the Curl Clarity Shampoo. On the bottle, it says it's for a thorough yet gentle cleansing of hair and scalp, and that is exactly what you get. This shampoo leaves my hair squeaky clean but keeps in the moisture. It has a very watery consistency which will probably make you want to use more, but don't let it fool you! A little definitely goes a long way! This would be a shampoo I use as a monthly clarify, not a weekly shampoo. The shampoo comes in an 8oz bottle for $12.00. I personally think this is a good price since I'll only use it once a month. Overall I'll rate the shampoo 9/10 but if it had a pump it would be perfect.

I follow up the shampoo with the Hydration Elation Intensive Conditioner which acts as both a quick rinse out or a 5-10 minute deep conditioner. I like that the conditioner comes in a jar, rather than a squeeze bottle. The conditioner has a very thick consistency, and it melts right into my hair. While the conditioner does add ample moisture to my hair, it doesn't leave it as soft as I'd like. Due to that happening, this probably wouldn’t be the first conditioner I reach for on wash day. The jar yields 8oz for $16.00 which is pretty steep (in my opinion) for such a small jar. Overall, I give it a 6/10.

After cleansing and conditioning, I use the Leave-In Conditioner. It promises to seal the cuticles on the hair, boost shine, and prepare the hair for styling, as well as being able to detangle when using this product. I absolutely love this leave-in.  It absorbs into my hair almost instantly, making it feel like butter. This leave-in has earned its spot in my staple product cabinet. The consistency is both thick and watery, like most other leave-in's. This bottle gives you 8oz for $10.50. The price is a bit up there, but the results make it worth every cent. This product is absolutely a 10/10.

I picked up the So Much Moisture Hydrating Lotion on a whim, and it does not disappoint. It is a glycerin-infused moisturizer for severely dehydrated hair. The directions on the bottle say to use the lotion before any styling products, so I use it after applying my leave-in. For those of you who may not know, glycerin is a heavy humectant. Humectants draw moisture from the air to your hair for hydration retention. I also love that this product comes with a pump instead of a squeeze dispenser. You get 8oz of product for $10.50. Definitely worth it, 10/10 as well.

Lastly, I add the DoubleButter Cream Rich Daily Moisturizer and let me tell you, this cream did not come to play! After adding this moisturizing cream, my hair feels like it has all the moisture from planet Earth in my strands. Not only does it leave my hair filled with moisture, but my hands feel so soft afterward. This product is without a doubt a 10/10. I purchased the 8oz jar for $15.50, but you also can purchase a 16oz jar for $28.00. The price might make you second guess picking it up, but I certainly think the moisture you get is worth the dollars.

Overall, I love this line. The packaging is simple yet eye-catching. The smell is amazing but not overpowering. The products do as they promise, which is amazing because they are on the pricer side. The line can be purchased for $64.50, but for one lucky winner, it'll be free! To enter the giveaway all you have to do is follow The Elements of Me on Instagram (@TheElementsOfMe), and tag three people on the Instagram post. The winner will be chosen on April 5, 2018!
